LEWISBURG, Tenn. - The Trevecca Golf Classic (otherwise known and the Trevecca Masters) was held at the Saddle Creek Golf Club in Lewisburg, Tenn., in May of 2006. The tournament has been held primarily at Henry Horton State Park over the years, but because that course was undergoing work, the event was moved to Saddle Creek for 2006.

The tournament is held annually on the Thursday and Friday prior to the Memorial Day weekend each year. As usual the nearly 100 golfers included alumni and friends of Trevecca, pastors, and Trevecca staff, coaches, and faculty.

The golfers enjoyed great weather, a challenging golf course, great fellowship, a wonderful banquet dinner, plenty of door prizes, and a final awards luncheon on Friday afternoon.

The 2006 Classic Championship was won by John Jordan, and the 2006 Athletic Department 9-hole Scramble was won by the team of Jim Hendershot, Jordy Conger, Dan Beam, and Dennis Snodgrass.

Don't miss the 20th Anniversary of the Trevecca Golf Classic on May 24-25, 2007. Plans are underway to make this a memorable event in celebrating the special anniversary edition of this scholarship fund raiser.

The tournament is flighted (Open 6, Senior 3, Super Senior 3, Women's) and all golfers are welcome. The athletic department sponsors a 9 hole scramble on Thursday afternoon.

Fees include two rounds of golf, range balls, Thursday dinner, and Friday lunch. Forty sponsorships are also available. A significant portion of all fees and hole sponsorships go to student endowed scholarships. Thousands of dollars are being awarded annually to worthy recipients as a result of the funds raised by this tournament through the years.
