2007-2008 Softball Schedule

SOFTBALL: Sweep Crichton, 9-1, 9-0NASHVILLE, Tenn. - NAIA No. 4 Trevecca (32-4, 21-1) swept Crichton College (10-20, 8-10) 9-0, 9-1 on Monday night. Brittiany Johnson picks up two wins and Kacey Coonce hit three home runs for Trevecca.
 
 
Trevecca’s Brittiany Johnson (20-1) picked up a pair of wins on the evening. In the first game Johnson started and pitched three innings of two hit softball. She struck out seven Comets. Stephanie Fisher came on to finish the game with three innings of three hit softball. She struck out six Comets. Trevecca scored one in the first, two in the second, one in the fifth, and four in the sixth. Trevecca had 12 hits and Crichton had five hits and five errors. Kacey Coonce hit three home runs and was joined on the four bag parade by Chelsea Bailey and Sammy Simon. Megan Suggs had three stolen bases. Bailey and Karli Rush also had a stolen base. Coonce was 3-3 with four runs scored, three RBI, a walk and three home runs. Suggs was 3-3 with a run scored and three stolen bases. Sammy Simon was 2-4 with a run scored, a home run, and three RBI.
 
Brittiany Johnson pitches two innings and allowed just one hit and struck out five. Shelby Mashburn pitched the final five four innings and allowed five hits and one unearned run. She had two strike outs. Sammy Simon hit her second home run of the night and was 1-3 with a run scored and two RBI. Chelsey Bailey had a triple and was 2-4 with two runs scored, and RBI and a stolen base. Kacey Coonce was 1-2 with a double, two runs scored and two walks. Trevecca scored four in the first, three in the third, and two in the sixth. TNU had eight hits and one error. Crichton had six hits and six errors. Crichton scored their run in the third.
 
Trevecca will host Lambuth University (9-20, 6-14) on Thursday at 5 p.m.
