The Trevecca women's soccer team saved their best for last this year. They won three of their last four matches and finished with a 5-12 overall record and were 3-5 in conference play. New Trevecca women’s soccer coach Brett Armstrong saw improved play as the season progressed and the team just missed reaching the TranSouth tournament.
The team won two of three matches in early September when they defeated Bresica University 5-1 in Owensboro, Ky. The team followed that up with a 5-0 win at home over Crichton College. The team ended the season with a four match streak that showed marked improvement and encouragement for next season. Trevecca defeated Campbellsville 3-0 and then Lyon College 3-2. After a loss at Cumberland University, the team ended the season with a 6-0 win over Freed-Hardeman. Every senior scored except for goalie Kimberly Price.
Courtney Helton, Lilian Mwangi, and Heather Olson all earned NAIA Scholar-Athlete honors and were joined on the TranSouth Scholar-Athlete list by Kimberly Goodson, Anne Opana, Kimberly Price, Brittany Argabright, Allison Casalenuovo, Kassie Evick, Jennifer Goodson, and Lindsey Zurlinden. Kassie Evick was named to the All-TranSouth Second Team, and Heather Olson was named as the TranSouth Player of the Week once this season.
