Charles Torain: Inducted November 2002
Charles Torain played basketball at Trevecca for the 1971-72 and 1972-73 seasons. In only two years of play, Torain scored 1,384 points to establish himself, at the time, as Trevecca's all-time leading scorer. Torain now ranks 10th all-time in scoring. In his junior year, Torain averaged 17.8 points per game and 11.5 rebounds per game during the season, and in the SCAC Tournament, averaged 28 points per game and 14 rebounds per game. Torain was named to the All-SCAC Tournament Team and was the Trevecca Invitational Tournament MVP. In his senior year, Torain led the team averaging 19.7 points per game, 8.5 rebounds per game, and was named to the All-SCAC Tournament Team. Torain's highlights include scoring 17 field goals in one game in his junior year vs. Bryan College and scoring 571 points in one season.

Charles graduated in 1973 with a major in Physical Education and a minor in Sociology.  He and his wife, Deborah, live in Henderson, KY, and have five adult children, Tracy, Kelvin, Stephanie, James, and Shameika.  Charles is the Director of Hillcrest Youth Home in Evansville, Ill.
