ROME, Ga. – Trevecca participated in the Stonebridge Invitational hosted by Berry College at the Stonebridge Golf Course. Trevecca finished 12th of 18 teams and Betsy Beaver was Trevecca top finisher with a (82-80) 162 which was good enough for 24th place. There were 18 teams in the event with 105 individuals competing.
Led by individual winner Daniela Vargas, Shorter shot 311 on the final day to win by two strokes over Berry. Both Shorter and Berry share Stonebridge as a home course and both entered the final round tied at 309 when the day began. Vargas followed her opening round 68 with a 73 to finish with a winning score of 141. Shorter finished just two strokes ahead of Berry. Southern Nazarene, led by Thompson, finished third with a 635 total.
As a team Trevecca finished with a (349-348) 694. Rounding out the Trevecca participants were Brook Dillehay with a (91-78) 169, Alyssa Moe at (87-92) 179, and Allison Durham finished with a (89-95) 184. The 78 by Dillehay in today’s final round is one of the best single round scores in school history.
