WOMEN'S BASKETBALL: Fall at No. 16 Lambuth
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – NAIA No. 18 Trevecca (13-9, 7-5) fell at No. 16 Lambuth University (18-7, 10-3) by the score of 79-64 on Monday. The Eagles have won nine in a row.
The Trojans opened the game with a 19-9 run before the Eagles used a 11-0 run to take the lead at 20-19. The game was tied at 26 when the Eagles used a 11-1 run to take a 37-27 lead at the break.
Lambuth built their lead 16 points (55-39) when Trevecca cut the lead to just five points (57-52) with 9:16 to play. The Eagles pulled away again with a 13-0 run and held the Trojans off for a 79-64 lead.
K.C. Van Atta and Mariska Reed led Trevecca with 16 points apiece. Van Atta added five rebounds and two assists. Reed added a team high seven rebounds and four assists. Jennifer Bognar had seven points and seven rebounds.
Trevecca will host Bethel College (12-12, 7-6) on Thursday at 6 p.m.
