NASHVILLE, Tenn. – NAIA No. 16 Trevecca (11-7, 5-3) vs. Blue Mountain College (5-14, 1-7) on Monday.
The Hilltopper’s kept it close early as the Trojans led by just two points (19-17) with 11:58 to go in the first half. Trevecca pulled away with a 29-3 run that gave them a 48-20 lead with 2:55 to go in the first half. The Trojans would go on to lead 61-25 at the half.
In the second half Trevecca outscored Blue Mountain 50-37 and finished with a 111-62 victory.
Jennifer Bognar led Trevecca with 26 points and just missed a double-double with nine rebounds. Kristin Archie (18), Mariska Reed (17), K.C. Van Atta (14), and Abby Lawson (13) all finished with double figures in scoring. Lawson had a double-double with 11 rebounds and also tallied five assists. MyRanda Wright had 10 rebounds. Christian Gibson led the team with six assists. Lawson also had four steals and a block.
Trevecca will travel to Cumberland University (10-10, 2-6) on Thursday, January 31, 2008 at 6 p.m.
