PULASKI, Tenn. – NAIA No. 12 Trevecca (13-4, 5-2) fell 85-62 on the road at No. 25 Martin Methodist (15-3, 6-2) in Pulaski, Tenn. The RedHawks lead the series 18-14 between the two schools.
The first half was tight throughout with neither team gaining more than a four point advantage until the Trojans pulled ahead 27-20 with a 7-0 run at the 4:19 mark. Trevecca would hold a 34-30 lead at the halftime break.
In the second half the RedHawks surged ahead with a 10-2 run that gave them a 40-36 lead with 17 minutes remaining in the game. Trevecca closed the gap to just one point at 42-41, but Martin went on a 11-2 run and pulled ahead by 10 points at 53-43. The RedHawks continue to pull away and claimed the 85-62 victory.
Brian Oduor led Trevecca with 15 points and Josh Helton added 11 points. Collins Onyando had six rebounds and Rick James had three steals.
Trevecca will host Mid-Continent University (7-11, 2-4) on Saturday at 4 p.m
