BASEBALL: Win 9-1 @ Campbellsville Tuesday
CAMPBELLSVILLE, Ky. – NAIA No. 17 Trevecca (31-11, 15-2) defeated Campbellsville University (21-17) 9-1 on Tuesday.
Trevecca scored two runs in the fourth and added a run in the sixth and seventh innings before sealing the victory with five runs in the top of the ninth. Trevecca had 13 hits and no errors. The Tigers scored their run in the eight and had four hits and an error in the game.
Brent Amburn (5-1) started the game and got the win with five innings pitched. He allowed two hits and a walk. Amburn struck out one. Dylan Lynch continued his hot bat with a 2-4 performance at the plate that included three runs scored, a walk, an RBI, and a triple. Chris Lowe was 2-4 with a walk, two runs, an RBI, two stolen bases, and a double. Adam Bland and Aaron Bree both had two doubles.
The regular season will conclude with a three-game TranSouth series at Lambuth University (28-17, 14-6) on Thursday and Friday.
The team will compete in the conference tournament April 28-May 1 in Millington, Tenn. The team has also secured a bid to the NAIA Region XI Tournament at Cumberland University May 6-9, 2008.
