2007-2008 Trevecca Baseball Schedule/Results

BASEBALL: 16-4 After Split with RedHawks
PULASKI, Tenn. – NAIA No. 10 Trevecca (16-4, 4-1) split a double-header with Martin Methodist (15-10, 5-3) on Friday. The Trojans took the first 7-inning game 5-4 and the RedHawks took game two 7-2.  
 
Trevecca struck first with a run in the second and added another in their half of the third. Martin Methodist tied the game with two in the bottom half of the inning. Each team score a run in the fourth and the Trojans took the lead for good with a pair of runs in the sixth. The RedHawks posted a run in the sixth, but that was all. Barrett Brown (2-0) picked up the win for TNU. The senior pitched six innings and allowed four runs, four hits and two walks while striking out 12. Steven Brown picked up his fifth save of the season with a perfect seventh inning. Matt Sakowicz (2-1) took the loss in a complete game for MMC. Nathan Wright was 1-3 with a run scored, two RBI and a home run for TNU. Marty Parks and Dylan Lynch also went yard for the Trojans. Lynch also added a double as he was 2-3 with a run scored and a RBI. Trevecca had seven hits and no errors while MMC had four hits and one error.
 
In game two Martin Methodist jumped out to an early lead with two in the first and three in the second. Trevecca posted their two runs in the fifth, but MMC answered with two more in their half of the inning. Trevecca had five hits and two errors while Martin Methodist had 11 hits and two errors. Trevecca didn’t’ have any extra base hits. Wesley Griggs (3-2) took the loss after giving up seven runs (four earned), 10 hits and a walk while striking out six. P.J. Roper (3-2) pitched a complete game for the win. Drew Durossette pitched one inning for Trevecca and allowed a hit and a walk. Wade Angel was 2-3 for Trevecca with a stolen base and a run scored. Chris Lowe was 1-3 with a stolen base and a RBI.
